Wood Ceiling
Sorry all. I am a bit obsessed with kitchens of late. Did you notice? I’ve been poring over images of kitchens so much so that I now don’t know what I want. Only one thing I am certain of at this point is I want my kitchen to evoke comfort and coziness and there’s something about wood plank ceilings that creates this for me. From modern to country and everything in between, they make the space homey. What do you think about wood plank ceilings? Yea or nay?

A sweet hello from Frog Hollow Farm. Many of the ceilings in our home are tongue and groove wood. They are easy to take care of and look fabulous! I think they add a ton of coziness to any room, and are also easy to screw things into for hanging things, etc – much easier than gouging holes in wallboard! I say YES!!! Every kitchen that you posted looks like a dream kitchen. I LOVE white, and I have a mostly white kitchen. There is a little extra to maintain, but it is so worth it!

I love it!! i went through a model home a couple months ago that had dark woooden planks on the ceiling in the step down family room and loved it! Once we get out of our rental and purchase a new house I plan to do the same.
So gorgeous! I’ve always loved this look. Such a comfortable, homey, cabin-ish feel. I especially love the painted wood ceilings…. like the first picture!
My vote is a resounding yes.

Mmm…kitchen porn. I’m addicted to kitchen photos — I’m so glad I’m not the only one. And the wood ceilings? Yes please. I think the third and fourth are my favorites. I can just imagine making iced tea or lemonade for some friends visiting, then chatting it up in those kitchens.
I’m giving this a very big YES. I think we forget how gorgeous added texture looks in a room design.
Go, go, go but maybe light in color so that it doesn’t feel like it’s weighing down on you?
