Topiaries
Remember how I told you I liked plants? Remember? That Andie McDowell movie, Green Card and horticulture classes? Well, during this phase, I also had a thing for topiaries. The small indoor variety, not the big animal shaped hedges. Anyways, I was trying to think of what to put in my kitchen window and topiaries came to mind. I still do have a thing for them, after all. So on my window, I’d like to have something like these.
You get the gist. This reminds me that I once made topiaries for a craft fair out of dried eucalyptus branches and was amazed that they all sold. If I was a savvy blogger, I’d have a tutorial of this ready for you right here and now. Alackaday, I am ill-prepared. I’ll have something for you next week. This sounds like a weekend project for me and the kids! Happy weekend everyone.

wow, i love that you made topiaries! these are beautiful, as are the settings they are in, nice to see something calming on a friday, thanks
ohhh they are soo beautiful!! i think i should make one of these for my home! have a great weekend dear!!
I really love the middle one you posted. It’s unique and weird, which for me is always an instant hit when it comes to plants! I think it’s a great idea! Happy weekend
I’ll take those kitchens in addition to the topiaries! I don’t really have the room for them in my current kitchen — maybe someday.
I had no idea what these were even called, but I really like these, especially the tree-like ones. My boyfriend and I will have to talk to see if I can handle one of these (without neglecting or killing it).
the super tall one is oh so gorgeous. great post! i haven’t thought about the movie “green card” in years!

Topiaries are pretty! Love your pictures. Stopping by from SITS.
These are so cute and classy, I never tried these inside, although I’ve got a picture in my mind of something for the garden like this with some bay trees.
What a beautiful kitchen! I love topiaries!
Mama Hen
Love ‘em! But can’t have ‘em, because my cats would destroy them in a day or two. We can only have plants that hang up high.
Such beautiful, peaceful rooms! Just lovely!
I’m stopping by from SITS. I love the idea of topiary and yet my kitchen is bare when it comes to any kind of garden or floral arrangement. I may have to change that!
I can’t wait to learn how to make these – I’ll be back!
Love love love the first one! SO cool! Stopping in from SITS!
Cool! I {{heart}}} that kitchen! WOW!
Happy SITS Day! I’d kill for a kitchen like that.
I love that Green Card movie, too. When I was a kid my family lived outside the US (mostly in South America and Africa). We only had a handful of English VHSs and Green Card was on one of them.
And totally excited about that tutorial
Happy SITS day,
