Yard Sale Finds
I actually found some time to start a few home projects this weekend. Although I didn’t quite finish them, I take this as a good sign that creative juices are once again flowing. I also hit up a yard sale and found these 2 beauties. $10 for both of them. I’m no collector and don’t really know if they’re worth what I paid but they look fabulous and they symbolize my red rubber ball. It’s like the red rubber ball paused for a moment so I can get a glimpse. I think I need one more so I can group them together and use them as decorative elements in my living room.

Wow, these are a fantastic find! I was in a vintage store this weekend and saw tons of these. I suggest checking those stores out to add to your collection! I’ve really been in the picture-taking mood lately. A bunch of friends brought Holga camera’s and other amazing vintage ones to the wedding and I’ve got the fever to take my own now! I just need…money
At my workplace we actually have a display of vintage cameras in our window. We get a lot of feedback from people who visit!
$10?!
Great finds and – although I’m not an expert either – looks like a great deal!
Can I ask you what camera you used to photograph them? Nice depth of field effect… (I suck at taking photos and I’m practising just on depth of field lately…)
Ah, I bookmarked the Red Rubber Ball book post! Need to buy that book in my next Amazon order…
Thanks and ciao!

Suze, I have a Canon XTI and used a Canon EF 50mm 1.8 lens. Lenses make the difference and the Canon EF 50mm 1.8 is affordable and takes wonderful pictures!
lovely photos of your vintage finds!! i’m a huge fan of vintage.. EVERYTHING right now hehe!!
ohmygoodness! love them!!!
Those look sweet.A very good find-I’d say.
The book you mentioned below looks very interesting.
excellent finds, although I don’t know anything about cameras but I like your idea of grouping them together as a decor item. You’ve also got me intrigued with the Red Rubber Ball book. I think I’m going to have to give it a look! cheers!
As long as they’re worth something to you, it doesn’t matter how much they’re actually worth, does it? I really need to get my hands on this Red Rubber Ball book. I’m so curious!
SCORE! those are awesome! well, if they don’t work and you don’t use them they make for a nice display in your photog room, craft room or office!
what the heck?! I NEVER find cameras at yard sales here. I guess it’s because I live in an under-cultured town. So sad! Congrats on your finds though
I have quite a few Brownies, so I always look for them.
I love those cameras. I actually have my grandpa’s old camera hanging out in our front room with all black & white photos. They really are perfect & interesting room accessories.
Don’t you love such fabulous finds?!
Now that’s a find!! I love vintage cameras – so cool looking. Wish I knew more about photography – I just got my first Nikon – yay!! So I’ll be practicing
Those look like great finds to me — and, if you love them then they are worth every penny!
stellar finds! lucky you!

What great finds, I too collect vintage cameras and even found a working 70s polaroid this weekend, not to find film for the sucker. LOL….XOXOX
These are gorgeous! I am so jealous. I collect anything old related to cameras.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I will follow you as soon as Google Friend Connect allows me to. It’s being a big baby right now.
